The Crimes of Donald Trump

The one thing I hate most about being American is the hypocrisy of our views towards life and rule of law. This brings me to Donald Jay Trump, a guy you may have heard of. So Trump paints himself as his good moral god fearing Christian man who cares about muh fetuses, while on the side grabbing pussy. However, Trump has no problem dropping drones on innocent people while the orange cunt eats chocolate cake in Mar-a-Lago. I do not know the exact numbers of innocents murdered under the fascist Trump regime. The Obama regime considered any male 16 years or older killed as “terrorists”. It is hard to tell when the US is propping up proxy regimes like Egyptian General Sisi and funding secret covert terrorists in Syria since 2005. If I had to estimate he’s killed at least a couple thousand if not ten thousand innocent people since January 20.

For all the Trump voters out there who thought he was the peacenik to Hillary’s war mongering, where are you now? He’s given the CIA and generals the power to kill anyone at any time and deploy US ground troops to any country at any time. We’ve seen an massive escalation in drone strikes under the Trump regime, along with a $100 billion arms deal for Saudi Arabia. There is a build up of US ground troops in Afghanistan and Iraq, along with deployment of US ground troops in Syria and Somalia. He allowed his generals to drop MOAB on Afghanistan and we still do not know how many people were killed from that strike because nobody has been allowed anywhere near the blast. And he is pushing us towards war with North Korea and Iran, all while striking the Syrian government over a chemical attack committed by the al-Qaeda white helmets. Relations with Russia are at the worst they have ever been and we are already probably in a new cold war with them. Trump’s foreign policy is basically a return back to the times of the Golden Horde.

Again all of this doesn’t mean Hillary was the peace candidate, far from it, but we didn’t have people like Trump supporters out right lying saying she was. If I had it my way I would have Trump, Hillary, Obama, Bush, Bill Clinton, GWB, GHWB, Jimmy Carter, and pretty much almost the entire US government on trial for war crimes against humanity and a sentence of life imprisonment without parole, since I don’t believe in the death penalty. I think Dr. Cornel West summed it up best when he said “That means that a child in Yemen, Somalia, and a child in Pakistan has the same value as a child in Newtown, Connecticut, Southside Chicago, Chinatown, barrio and an Indian reservation. A child is a precious child, no matter what. Somebody’s got to be accountable for that.”

Everyone being treated the same aka equality right? You would think in the good old US of A that would be the case, but equality under the law in US is bullshit. If I kill someone I go to jail, if someone in the US government kills someone they get medals. Jefferson Beauregard Sessions III, the near dead fossil and AG for the US, is rebooting the War on Drugs (that never ended since it’s declaration by Richard Nixon), telling prosecutors to seek the “most serious” charges and stricter sentences on the issue of drugs. So smoking a plant winds your ass in jail for life because private prisons demand cheap slave wage labor. Meanwhile wallstreet can steal from us and get tax payer bail out in order to keep the gravy train of capitalism going for another 10 years till the next crash.

“If voting made a difference, they wouldn’t let us do it” said Mark Twain, a man who was centuries ahead of his time. Until we call out the hypocrisy of both Republicans and Democrats we will never been free of this unless cycle of the War on so called “Terror” and War on so called “Drugs.” These wars are actually wars on the poor and non-white people. A lot of so called liberals hated Bush, but where ok with Obama putting a nice face on Bush’s policies. Now with Trump, the nice face has been replaced with an ugly orange turd, which is good for the left in the sense it wakes people up to just how fucked our government is. We need to move past this D vs R bullshit, end all these bullshit wars for profit, and move together as horizontally organized global workers party.

When White People Riot…

Last week, two racially-charged murders saw to protests and unrest in Milwaukee.  A gas-station owner *stood his ground* and he shot and killed an unarmed black man in his gas-station.  A few days later, in the same locale, a police officer shot a man in the back. The police, as usual claimed, the man had a gun.

Since neither the gas station owner, nor the police officer faced any consequences, Black Lives Matter, protested Milwaukee. During the protest, some people set fire the gas station.  I call it vigilante justice. Some people called it hooliganism. They condemned the gas station and made over-arching generalizations about the thuggishness of those involved.   But, in the past few years, black people may have rioted over social justice.  I wanted to expose the hypocrisy of these folks who stood silent when the white thugs rioted over…

If you have any more ridiculous riots, please comment below and we will add it to this list.

“Drug prohibition is the golden goose of terrorism”

The Judge is Wise.  Watch this video.

Via Ed Brayton, Judge Jim Gray, a conservative California judge with lots of experience fighting drugs, says the present policy benefits drug lords and terrorists among others. After laying out his case, Jones concludes the most patriotic thing he can do is work to repeal drug laws:

I like how the judge has to lay out his hardass bonafides before launching into his anti-prohibition arguments.  “I’m not a dirty hippie, dammit!”  Nixon to China and all that.  Hey man, whatever it takes!

Then there is the social justice argument that he leaves largely unsaid.  I caught some of this interview with Michelle Alexander last week, laying out the racial angle of the War on Drugs, and it’s pretty appalling.

The war on drugs waged in these ghetto communities has managed to brand as felons millions of people of color for relatively minor, nonviolent drug offenses. And once branded a felon, they’re ushered into a permanent second-class status, not unlike the one we supposedly left behind. Those labeled felons may be denied the right to vote, are automatically excluded from juries, and my be legally discriminated against in employment, housing, access to education, public benefits, much like their grandparents or great grandparents may have been discriminated against during the Jim Crow era.

[…]

The war on drugs, contrary to popular belief, was not declared in response to rising drug crime. Actually, the war on drugs, the current drug war, was declared in 1982 by President Ronald Reagan at a time when drug crime was actually on the decline. A few years later, crack cocaine hit the streets in poor communities of color across America, and the Reagan administration hired staff to publicize crack babies, crack mothers, crack dealers in inner-city communities, in an effort to build public support and more funding, and ensure more funding, for the new war that had been declared. But the drug war had relatively little to do with drug crime, even from the outset.

The drug war was launched in response to racial politics, not drug crime. The drug war was part of the Republican Party’s grand strategy, often referred to as the Southern strategy, an effort to appear—appeal to poor and working-class white voters who were threatened by, felt vulnerable, threatened by the gains of the civil rights movement, particularly desegregation, busing and affirmative action. And the Republican Party found that it could get Democrats—white, you know, working-class poor Democrats—to defect from the Democratic New Deal coalition and join the Republican Party through racially coded political appeals on issues of crime and welfare.

Lovely.  Part II of the interview is here.

Blame it on Bubba

The tire iron wielding Bubba isn’t alone in his hatred, ignorance and xenophobia…the folks over at Wall Street feel the same way toward the poor masses. How else could one explain their continued adherence to the notion that the nations poor are to blame for the worst global financial meltdown in 100 years? This quote from the WSJ Op-Ed pages is patently ridiculous to anyone with even a basic understanding of what caused the meltdown:

Fifty percent of the high-risk loans are estimated to be CRA (Community Reinvestment Act) loans, with much of the remainder useful to the GSEs (Government Sponsored Enterprises) in meeting their affordable-housing goals.

The flood of CRA (Community Reinvestment Act) and affordable-housing loans with loosened underwriting standards, combined with declining mortgage interest rates-to 5% in 2003 from 10% in early 1991-resulted in a massive increase in borrowing capacity and fueled a house price bubble of unprecedented magnitude over the period 1997-2006.

So the government is to blame for the crisis because they made it so much easier for poor people to buy a home…right.

The reality of what happened is pretty well summarized in “Fool’s Gold”…I think this review of the book is spot on. The only way bad mortgages take down the entire financial system is when they are used as the ‘raw material’ for speculation by the investment community, whose insatiable appetite for risk, for betting on just about anything, and unfettered greed will always destroy any sane conventional system of banking. History has shown us this several times…Greenspan’s now infamous ‘shocked disbelief’ is laughable when you consider a historical perspective. Or maybe it was those irresponsible poor people who didn’t read the fine fine fine print on the terms of their sub-prime mortgage, right Wall Street?

Hal McRae is not pleased

By now most folks are probably aware that the Sotomayor confirmation hearings have, among other things, featured cries that she is an angry racist, from people who are themselves objectively angry racists.  Here’s Sen. Jefferson Beauregard Sessions III (R-Ala) , leading the opposition and doing his damnable best to keep from calling her a Puerto Rican (he manages to spit out “of Puerto Rican ancestry” at the last second):

For the record, Sessions is a former US Attorney who tried and failed to get a judgeship on the US District Court of Alabama back in the day, because of things like this:

At the time Sessions didn’t think the KKK was such a terrible group. He was overheard by several employees saying, that he “‘used to think they [the Klan] were ‘OK’ until he found out some of them were ‘pot smokers.'” The marijuana was the dealbreaker, not the violence or the white supremacy. While Sessions was complaining about his responsibility as a U.S. attorney to preserve the civil rights of minorities, Sonia Sotomayor was on the board of an organization dedicated to preserving them.

Sessions was only “joking” of course.  It didn’t stop the Senate Judiciary Committee from killing his nomination on the grounds of “gross insensitivity” in regards to racial issues.  So what happens next?  Jackbag becomes a Senator and claws his way into a leadership position on the committee that found him lacking way back when.  Yay for America.

I guess it’s true what they say:

Those who can, judge; those who can’t, vote not to confirm.

All of which is an overlong way of introducing this link:

THE CONFIRMATION HEARING OF SONIA SOTOMAYER, IF THE HEARING WERE HELD IN FRONT OF THE 1977 KANSAS CITY ROYALS INSTEAD OF THE SENATE JUDICIARY COMMITTEE.

I guess reefer really is a gateway drug…

See what happens when you hang around with Klansmen?

UPDATE 2

Jamison Foser details the full hypocrisy.

Is Colin Powell Racist?

The rise of Barack Obama was supposed to mark the beginning of a new dialog about race in this country. With the exception of his remarkable speech during the primaries, that discussion has largely been absent. On the one hand, there is polite discussion about the historic aspect of Obama’s candidacy, on the other, the embarrassing diatribes of Geraldine Ferraro essentially calling him an affirmative action hire. Not much new ground being tilled. (Then of course, there was Jesse Jackson pulling a Ron Burgundy by offering to “cut his nuts out” in the presence of a live Fox News mic). In the main, I suspect most reporters and commentators are too dumbfounded and scared to open their mouths for fear of what ignorant thing they might say. Probably good policy.

Which brings me to Powell’s endorsement of Obama. Though this had been telegraphed for some time, it was still something of a shock to have Bush’s former Secretary of State come out in favor of the Democrat. Unsurprisingly, Rush Limbaugh immediately screamed “RACE”. Never mind that Powell made an honest and well-reasoned case for Obama that was frankly devastating for McCain. Never mind that he didn’t say anything about McCain’s awful campaign that hasn’t been painfully apparent to any honest observer. Never mind that prominent conservatives are bailing on McCain in droves. No, Colin Powell suddenly has no credibility because he is Black. Continue reading
