Are we on the verge of World War III?

The tension in the Middle East is becoming unbearable. As the battle of Raqqa begins in Syria for the de facto capital of the so called Islamic State, US forces bomb pro-Assad forces in Syria. Qatar is being economically and diplomatically boycotted by the Saudis and other gulf nations, while Turkey approves sending troops to Qatar. Iran’s parliament and Khomeini mausoleum was blown up by Saudi Arabia posing as IS. Russia is being accused of hacking Qatar state media. Now the lieutenant general of the US is saying we don’t recognize any specific zone in Syria as being off limits to the United States.

At this point, the only news I watch anymore is RT America, the only legit news source left on TV. I got it blazing 24/7 in my room as I watch this in the background. I don’t even know what normies are watching on fake news MSNBC, CNN, or Fox, probably something about Russia or something, but anyway back to the topic at hand. The Trump administrations number one target is Iran. If you took a look at Trump’s cabinet, you will notice two things. One, they are anti-Islam, and two, they hate Iran.

And the two countries that hate Iran is Saudi Arabia and Israel. It comes to no surprise that these two countries have total control over the Trump administration. As Lawrence Wilkerson, retired United States Army Colonel and former chief of staff to United States Secretary of State Colin Powell, pointed out on the Real News, that the reason Trump has so much Goldman Sachs in his cabinet isn’t just a business reasons, but it’s because of Israel. Another great source on neocons and foreign policy in general is Abby and Robbie Martin. Robbie has create a film series on the necons called A Very Heavy Agenda that you can buy online.

Now to move on to Syria, what most Americans don’t know is the Syrian Civil War didn’t start in 2011, it started in 2005, when Syria stop cooperating with US forces and the CIA began funding terrorists to disrupt the region. So just so you know, this war started under Bush, continued under Obama and Trump. Now we began having US ground forces in Syria since 2015, however we’ve had CIA in the ground there since who knows what. Since 2017, just prior to April bombing of Assad, Trump doubled the US troops in Syria to 2,000 and US troop deployments have ceased for Iraq and Syria.

What I believe is happening is a ramping up of US forces in Syria. The neocons for a while have always had conflicting views within the neocons. Some extreme neocons like Frank Gaffeny think we should just ignore Syria because it distracts from invading Iran. Others want to see the Syria conflict go on forever to bob them down in fighting, a favorable view that Israeli government has. I do not know what the deep state is planning, but I do know that once ISIS falls it will make America’s troop presence in Syria null and void. So regime change in Syria would be the next goal.

The Qatar situation could blow out into full scale war in Turkish troops do arrive in Qatar, it will be interesting to see how America will respond, with the largest military base in the middle east being in Qatar. Trump at first cheered on Saudi Arabia and after his staff informed him the facts he said he wanted to negotiate with all sides. With the recent Iran bombings by the Saudis I don’t see any negotiations.

How about instead of having marches for Trump’s taxes we have marches for peace? But that’s not what the neocons want, they want use talking about Russia or taxes or whatever because it distracts us from the real issues. Trump is the ultimate distraction. All he does is tweet something and his tweets become headline news for the day. I say it’s time to start a campaign to boycott all Saudi goods by getting this country off fossil fuels.

The Myth of “Good War”

http://media.philly.com/images/Trump-globe.jpg

By Joseph Ballin 5/23/2017 5:14 AM EST

I don’t think it’s wrong to say America is the most evil nation in world history. When Donald Trump described himself as a “nationalist and a globalist” I didn’t think it was a contradiction in terms. America has also been on a nationalist bent for global domination of the planet. Since President McKinley, America has seen a revision of our grand global imperialist ambitions. Prior to McKinley, dating back to First Anglo-Powhatan War, the Anglo settlers of what would be the USA embarked on a genocidal campaign of extermination of the natives of this land. In early 17th century, Captain John Smith, leader of Jamestown, envisioned that the Native Americans of Virginia would one day be doing the work for English colonialists. Nothing about democracy or freedom were invoked in this American Holocaust.

McKinley began the great American revisionism. Instead of conquering brown people for land, we would now conquer brown people to “civilize” them. The great myth of spreading American “exceptionalism” began with the Spanish American War. If we look at every war ever fought by the United States, the only wars that the United States fought in a defense manner from an attack on the United States was World War II and the initial conflict with al-Qaeda, which was never a declared war. However, to say that Japan, Italy, Germany, al-Qaeda didn’t have legitimate reasons for coming into conflict with the United States is absurd. In response of Japanese invasion of Vichy French Indochina, FDR enacted an oil embargo on the Japanese Empire, which lead directly to the attack on Pearl Harbor.

On September 11, 1941, FDR ordered the United States Navy to shoot on sight if any ship or convoy is threatened in the Atlantic Ocean. This was response to the “Greer incident” on September 4, 1941, off the coast of Iceland, when German submarine U-652 fired, but did not make contact, with USS Greer after USS Greer received a signal from a British bomber that a German submarine was in the vicinity. Greer made sonar contact, and pursued the U-652 at close range. The aircraft dropped four depth charges, and soon after the U-boat fired a torpedo at the US warship, perhaps believing USS Greer had launched the attack.

As for Italy, on June 15, 1941, FDR freezed all US assets towards Italy and other Axis nations. So Germany, Italy, and Japan all had legitimate reasons for declaring war on the United States. What about al-Qaeda you would ask? Well let’s take a look shall we. The December 6, 1993 newspaper of The Independent described Osama Bin Laden as an “anti-Soviet warrior” who’s “recruited mujahedin now uses them for large-scale building projects in Sudan.” Osama was once America’s ally against the “evil” Soviets in Afghanistan, one that the CIA funded greatly as shown in “Charlie Wilson’s War”.

Later, after the Soviet withdraw from Afghanistan, in 1990 Saddam invaded Kuwait, after getting signals from Washington that he had the green light to do so. The Saudis began pushing for an intervention against Saddam’s annexation of Kuwait. Osama stated that his mujaheddin fighters could expel the Iraqis from Kuwait. Saudis rejected his offer for American soldiers to come into Saudi Arabia, set up military bases, and expel Iraqi forces from Kuwait. Osama began strongly criticizing the US occupation of the holy lands of Islam by foreign crusader troops. Another thing Osama would cite in his reasons for the September 11 attacks was America’s support for Israel over the Palestinians. Osama was not stupid, he would read people like Noam Chomsky and had a masterful plan to bring down the superpowers of the Soviet Union and USA by bogging them down in endless occupations overseas. His plan is still being carried out to this day.

This is not to justify the actions of the Axis powers or al-Qaeda. I am simply stating that the myth that America is this innocent actor in world events and the only reason they hate us is because of our “freedom” is total bullshit. Every action has an equal reaction. The golden rule, “do unto others as you would have them do unto you”, is something we should abide by when it comes to foreign policy. Imagine if a terrorist Quebec liberation group feed Canada to the USA, began performing terrorist attacks against Canada, and Canada responded by drone bombing American cities, killing thousands of civilians in the process. How would Americans respond when the chickens come home to roost? Because that horror we all experienced on 9/11, the middle east has known almost every day ever since.

Time For Regime Change In Saudi Arabia

https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/0/0d/Flag_of_Saudi_Arabia.svg/1280px-Flag_of_Saudi_Arabia.svg.png

Make no mistake, it is not a coincidence that the same day Trump went off to Saudi Arabia to sign a 110 billion dollar arms deal with them, along with talks about establishing a Sunni “NATO”, he bombed Assad’s forces in Syria. You could say in a lot of ways David Frum was right about the axis of evil, except for the part of the axis being Iraq, Iran, and North Korea. The axis of evil is the United States, Israel, and Saudi Arabia, with the United Kingdom acting as America’s lieutenant.

In order to understand America’s slavish relationship with Saudi Arabia you need to know the history behind it. One of the most interesting facts about Saudi Arabia’s history is that of all of the lands conquered by European, American, Turkish, and Japanese colonialists, the middle part of Saudi Arabia was never colonized. So this area of Saudi Arabia, called Nejd, which avoided largely falling under foreign control, saw the birth in the 18th century of a revivalist movement called Wahhabism.

Flash forward to the 20th century. Starting in 1902, the House of Saud is waging a war to throw the Ottomans out of Arabia. The House of Saud and British struck a deal with each other. Saudis would get control of the holy cities from the Ottomans, in exchange the British would colonize the rest of the middle east. The foreign policy goal of the British and later Americans in the middle east is crushing secular Arab nationalism and socialism in favor of supporting conservative Islamists. The only exception to this rule was Islamic Republic of Iran, only because their country is Shia Islam. The reason for this was because America, the British, and Saudis knew that if the entire Arab world united under into a single giant super state that nationalized the oil for themselves, threw out the imperialists, and united all Arabs regardless of religious belief would mean that they couldn’t exploit the middle east anymore.

Fast forward to 2017, Trump is giving a massive speech today in Saudi Arabia about unavailing a Sunni “NATO” for the middle east. The one core thing connecting all of Trump’s cabinet picks was their hate of Islam and Iran. My predictions about Trump’s foreign policy was that he would largely continue Obama’s foreign policy of Syria, bogging down Syrian, Russia, Hezbollah and others fighting in Syria while America finds ways of undermining, but not ripping up the Iran deal. The one thing in Syria he has done that Obama didn’t was attacking Assad, showing he is even more in bed with the neocons than even Obama. You see this already with the recent sanctions on Iran, along with the travel ban. Fascist Trump is clearly preparing for a war with Iran and for good reason. He’s facing impeachment and his approval ratings are the lowest of any president ever polled.

However I still think the same events happening now would have also happened under a Hillary Clinton presidency, at least in foreign policy. The one key factor about US presidencies is that no matter what changes, relations with Israel and Saudi Arabia never change. That is the true deep state. Until the Saudi AIPAC control over US foreign policy is crushed forever we can never hope of any real change.

Bring Back Isolationism

The Rape of Belgium was the first modern propaganda campaign by the British in order to change the opinion of Americans to join the side of the allies during World War I. Films of the dreaded Hun raping Belgium women and bayoneting babies appeared on Americans films. That is not to say there wasn’t atrocities committed by both sides during World War I, but that was not the reason we got into World War I. The real reason was because wallstreet had funded France and United Kingdom during the war and wallstreet wanted those debts paid back.

Germany and Austro-Hungary posed no threat to the United States. What should have happened was both sides should have ceased hostilities with each other and marched back to their nation’s borders, in a similar manner that brought an end to the bloody massacre that was the Korean War. Now, 100 years later, the U.S. State Department, one of the most evil organizations in human history, is “claiming” that the Assad government has killed and burned thousands of bodies in prisons. When I heard this, flashes of the rape of Belgium and Nayirah al-?aba? testifying before Congress that in Kuwait, Iraqi soldiers were “throwing babies out of incubators”.

The similarities between the Syrian Civil War and World War I are so numerous and obvious they could be put into a giant list. Let’s do that:

*Wilson runs for president under the campaign slogan “He kept us out of war”, winning in November 1916, only to betray his voters by declaring war on Germany in April 1917. A 100 years later, Trump runs for president under the campaign slogan of keeping us out of Syria, winning in November 2016, only to betray his voters by declaring war on Syria in April 2017.
*Both Trump and Wilson are authoritarian racists who advocated arresting journalists and establishing surveillance states.
*Instead of the the evil Kaiser, we now have Assad, the so called “butcher” of Damascus.
*There are various interconnecting alliances with contradictory goals among so called “allies”.
*Anti-war movements are marginalized and crushed by the state.

The more things change, the more things stay the same. Since Congress and US presidency no longer abide by US Constitution when it comes to declaration of war, Trump could at any time, use the thousands of US troops currently in Syria since March 2017 to overthrow Assad. We don’t have to be Nostradamus to see what happens next. We already have Iraq and Libya as models of American “liberation” looks like.

Until I see a shed of proof of Assad’s forces burning bodies or using sarin chemicals I do not believe either of them. Even if they were true, I would not advocate intervening in Syria. The only thing we can do to help is take in ALL Syrian refugees since we helped cause this, provide non-lethal aid to Syria, stop funding the so called “rebels”, and advocate some kind of cease fire.

Any new war will lead to decades long occupation by US military forces. We still have troops in Germany, Italy, Japan, and South Korea. Iraq and Afghanistan are almost 20 year old occupations. Imagine if we took all those US troops back home and instead of nation building over there, we start nation building here.

Nixon faced impeachment, not over blowing up the 1968 Vietnam peace deal and extending the Vietnam War, killing millions more people, or bombing Cambodia, or propping up various dictatorships world wide, but because he broke into the headquarters of the Democratic National Committee. It had nothing to do with the REAL crimes of Nixon. As Noam Chomsky pointed, Watergate only happened because Nixon threatened one faction in the capitalist state, the Democratic Party.

Now we are seeing the same thing happen again. Trump has expanded the usage of drones, planning on deploying 3,500 US troops in Afghanistan, thousands of US troops in Syria and Somalia for the first time, giving Saudi Arabia a 100 billion dollar arms deal, supporting various other dictatorships world wide, attacking the sovereign state of Syria over a chemical false flag attack, dropping MOAB in Afghanistan killing unknown number of people, and various other war crimes. And what do Democrats and Republicans have to say about all this? Radio silence.

When Napoleon was defeated, he was exiled to Saint Helena. As a 1919 British report on war crimes note “Napoleon was not charged with having during the Hundred Days carried on war contrary to the usages of civilized nations.” This was mainly because the Great Powers that defeated Napoleon didn’t want to be charged themselves with war crimes if they were defeated. It would only be after World War II, with the modern concept of war crime was further developed with the Nuremberg Trials and the International Military Tribunal for the Far East 1946. And since 1945, US has never been convicted for war crimes in a international war crimes tribunal.

Trump is a lying scumbag piece of human shit. He out right lied, claiming he never told the Russians anything, but later revealed that he did revealed classified information to the Russians about airlines and information about ISIS. Now it is revealed that he fired James Comey for investigating Michael Flynn, not for his handling the Hillary Clinton emails. Since becoming president, Trump has done everything that he criticized Hillary Clinton for and more.

Now how many in MSM or the US government are calling Trump a war criminal who should face life imprisonment without parole? Not a single one I can think of, because that would implicit them as well, along with every living US president. The REAL crimes of Donald Trump will never see an international war crimes tribunal. This is why there is not two parties in the US, but one, the war party. Chris Hedges pointed out correctly when he said “In mainstream discussion, it is either do we bomb Syria or do we bomb Syria and deploy US ground troops?”

Why is murdering thousands of people worldwide via US troops and bombs any less different from a common murder? Democrats and the so called “#Resistance” are not fighting Trump. Why would they fight Trump? Impeaching Trump would be suicide for Democrats because he’s so awful that it will be a Democratic landslide win in 2018 not seen for Democrats since 2008. The people fighting Trump include Code Pink protesting Senate conformation hearings of Trump cabinet picks that Democrats voted for, or protesting as air ports over the Muslim ban, or Sally Hates refusing the orders of Donald Trump. That is the real resistance.

The Crimes of Donald Trump

The one thing I hate most about being American is the hypocrisy of our views towards life and rule of law. This brings me to Donald Jay Trump, a guy you may have heard of. So Trump paints himself as his good moral god fearing Christian man who cares about muh fetuses, while on the side grabbing pussy. However, Trump has no problem dropping drones on innocent people while the orange cunt eats chocolate cake in Mar-a-Lago. I do not know the exact numbers of innocents murdered under the fascist Trump regime. The Obama regime considered any male 16 years or older killed as “terrorists”. It is hard to tell when the US is propping up proxy regimes like Egyptian General Sisi and funding secret covert terrorists in Syria since 2005. If I had to estimate he’s killed at least a couple thousand if not ten thousand innocent people since January 20.

For all the Trump voters out there who thought he was the peacenik to Hillary’s war mongering, where are you now? He’s given the CIA and generals the power to kill anyone at any time and deploy US ground troops to any country at any time. We’ve seen an massive escalation in drone strikes under the Trump regime, along with a $100 billion arms deal for Saudi Arabia. There is a build up of US ground troops in Afghanistan and Iraq, along with deployment of US ground troops in Syria and Somalia. He allowed his generals to drop MOAB on Afghanistan and we still do not know how many people were killed from that strike because nobody has been allowed anywhere near the blast. And he is pushing us towards war with North Korea and Iran, all while striking the Syrian government over a chemical attack committed by the al-Qaeda white helmets. Relations with Russia are at the worst they have ever been and we are already probably in a new cold war with them. Trump’s foreign policy is basically a return back to the times of the Golden Horde.

Again all of this doesn’t mean Hillary was the peace candidate, far from it, but we didn’t have people like Trump supporters out right lying saying she was. If I had it my way I would have Trump, Hillary, Obama, Bush, Bill Clinton, GWB, GHWB, Jimmy Carter, and pretty much almost the entire US government on trial for war crimes against humanity and a sentence of life imprisonment without parole, since I don’t believe in the death penalty. I think Dr. Cornel West summed it up best when he said “That means that a child in Yemen, Somalia, and a child in Pakistan has the same value as a child in Newtown, Connecticut, Southside Chicago, Chinatown, barrio and an Indian reservation. A child is a precious child, no matter what. Somebody’s got to be accountable for that.”

Everyone being treated the same aka equality right? You would think in the good old US of A that would be the case, but equality under the law in US is bullshit. If I kill someone I go to jail, if someone in the US government kills someone they get medals. Jefferson Beauregard Sessions III, the near dead fossil and AG for the US, is rebooting the War on Drugs (that never ended since it’s declaration by Richard Nixon), telling prosecutors to seek the “most serious” charges and stricter sentences on the issue of drugs. So smoking a plant winds your ass in jail for life because private prisons demand cheap slave wage labor. Meanwhile wallstreet can steal from us and get tax payer bail out in order to keep the gravy train of capitalism going for another 10 years till the next crash.

“If voting made a difference, they wouldn’t let us do it” said Mark Twain, a man who was centuries ahead of his time. Until we call out the hypocrisy of both Republicans and Democrats we will never been free of this unless cycle of the War on so called “Terror” and War on so called “Drugs.” These wars are actually wars on the poor and non-white people. A lot of so called liberals hated Bush, but where ok with Obama putting a nice face on Bush’s policies. Now with Trump, the nice face has been replaced with an ugly orange turd, which is good for the left in the sense it wakes people up to just how fucked our government is. We need to move past this D vs R bullshit, end all these bullshit wars for profit, and move together as horizontally organized global workers party.

My Twitter Rage

I love Jimmy Dore, yet listening, makes me even more, ANGRY, at the corporate establishment democrats who refuse to change
Sam Seder, you are the man, but I don’t understand, why you disparage Jimmy, when you should be joining him in the call for change
To anger, I say enough of it, but I’m proven to be a hypocrite, as I unleash my twitter rage at those who have taken to disparaging Bernie

Let my twitter rage burn!! These Clinton people still haven’t learned, and my twiitter rage burns, on and on and on and on!
Wanting, needing, reading, tweeting, drinking, now I’ve lost control of my twitter rage

My View on Syria

Why do I listen to news/progressive talk radio? Its boring and most people find it nerdy and annoyingly saturated with the game of politics. I’ve become saturated on the Syria situation. I’d like to compare some the views I have heard on my favorite shows.

The Stephanie Miller Show: Stephanie keeps on framing Syria in terms of Obama is good, republicans are bad. It makes it hard to trust her judgement, or learn anything of interest. She sounds like a simple-minded Obama fan girl. Of course when everything comes around to deciding for no attack, I will join the Obama love fest, but until then, it is extremely annoying.

The Majority Report: Sam Seder is right on with regard to this issue. Bottom line: any attacks are not likely to accomplish the stated goal…and very likely to start an even worse chain reaction of events. Whether it makes us feel better to launch a few missiles is not part of the decision making process. The fantasy that we are going to punish Syria as if they were our child needs to be put to rest.

And I need to include our friend Pat Lamarche, who puts it very clearly Buy President Obama a History Book. While I embrace the idea of Syria giving up its weapons and signing a treaty with Russia, I don’t need to praise Obama’s warlike attitude. No one can know for sure that a treaty would not have occurred regardless of the threats. When the President spins a fantastical world, where the U.S. military acts as the world police outside of the United Nations, he puts our media and citizenry, indeed, our entire culture, in a war stance that we should never be in. Its just more Joe Sixpack brainwashing madness.

Ironically, once again, libertarians and progressives actually agree…at least we know not to believe what we see on TV. This classic Reefercake tune comes to mind.

Mental Illness on TV

I heard this “she's not a Christain!” lady audio clip on talk radio. She screams it so viciously that I had to search to see if I could get the context.

Crazy Christian Lady

I though it was going to be funny, but in fact it was so disturbing that I am practically in tears. Totally insane.

At the same time, derangement can be revealing about the nature of our culture. This woman uses the Christian warrior attitude that infests some radical churches, that are equivalent to the bad forces of radical Islam. This woman isn't just crazy, she is scary.
