This Russian fear mongering has got to stop

By Joseph Ballin 10/11/2017 6:09 PM EST

Over the last year or so now, we have experienced a way of Russophobia, the likes of which we haven’t seen in this country since the 1950s. Now because of both the Democratic and Republican parties we are on the bring of World War III and potential nuclear Armageddon. It feels like a million years ago when Barrack Obama made fun of Mitt Romney at a debate over calling Russia America’s number one political foe.

Since Trump has gotten into office the Russia fear mongering has kicked up in overdrive. Let’s go over some of the stuff Trump has signed that makes him a “puppet” of Putin:

  • USA imposes sanctions against eight Russian companies. Link: https://sputniknews.com/world/201703251051965233-us-russia-sanctions/
  • Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2017, authorized $100 million dollars for the “Countering Russian Influence Fund”, to counter “Russian influence and aggression” and to “support civil society organizations in Europe and Eurasia.” It also included a measure imposing new restrictions and oversight on Russian diplomats in the United States. The Act also includes provisions that no appropriated funds may be used to support the Russian annexation of Crimea and assist Crimea, if such assistance includes the participation of Russian Government officials, or other Russian owned or controlled financial entities. It also states that no funds may be used to support “the Russian occupation of the Georgian territories of Abkhazia and Tskhinvali Region/South Ossetia” or to assist the central governments of other countries that have recognized the two territories’ independence. Link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Consolidated_Appropriations_Act,_2017
  • Failure to congratulate Russians on Russia Day, first administration to do this in 25 years. Link: http://russia-insider.com/en/politics/spineless-trump-first-potus-not-congratulate-russian-holiday-25-years/ri20103
  • On July 6, 2017, during a speech in Warsaw, Poland, Trump urged Russia to cease its support for “hostile regimes” in Syria and Iran. Link: http://www.jpost.com/American-Politics/Trump-calls-on-Putin-to-distance-Russia-from-Syria-and-Iran-498972
  • Countering America’s Adversaries Through Sanctions Act (Sanctions on Russia) Link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Countering_America%E2%80%99s_Adversaries_Through_Sanctions_Act
  • Two Russian diplomatic annexes (buildings) in Washington D.C. and New York City as well as its Consulate General in San Francisco are shut down and seized by the US government. Link: https://www.rt.com/news/401866-russia-diplomatic-properties-occupation/
  • DOJ wants RT to register as a foreign agent. Link: http://www.foxnews.com/us/2017/09/13/russian-network-rt-told-to-register-as-foreign-agent-in-us-it-says.html

This all happened under Russian puppet Trump’s presidency. And yet we have these idiots out there claiming Trump is secretly working for Vladimir Putin. The end results of all this Russia fear mongering is not about Trump. This is something I’ve been trying to point out for a while, this has nothing to do with Trump, he’s just a puppet of the elites to further their own agenda. The real achievement of this Russia fear mongering is to turn America back towards Cold War era war mongering.

A recent poll shows most Americans would support sending US troops to Latvia if Russia were to invade. Link: http://www.newsweek.com/us-military-europe-most-americans-want-troops-baltics-if-russia-attacked-648458 We now have so called liberals out there retweeting neocons like David Frum and Evan McMullin. However, not forgetting the Republicans and conservatives, the war state is now targeting them as well. Without any evidence what so ever, we now have people claiming Russia is behind BLM and “racial tensions” in the US, because racial tensions didn’t exist prior to Putin in the US. Previously the US government had claimed the Soviet Union at the time was behind the civil rights movement at the time.

Anytime the mainstream media focuses on something, you should always ignore it. If they focus on Russia or something stupid Trump tweets, you should go out of your way to ignore it and look up actual fucking news. We shouldn’t have to be worrying about a “evil” foreign government rigging our elections when we already have elections are basically rigged and all the exit polling doesn’t even remotely match the results. Keep in mind, the US government used exit polling irregularities as justification for overthrowing the Ukrainian government in 2014.

22,000 good guys with guns

By Joseph Ballin 10/3/2017 4:20 AM EST

The Republican Party, which formally was a parliamentary center-right wing party, has long ceased to function as a reality based political party. The current “Republican” Party that exists in the US is called the Democratic Party. As Chomsky pointed out in 2010, the GOP has moved so far to the right that they need to mobilize sections on America that wasn’t formally political before like evangelicals, conspiracy nuts, anti-vaxers, gun nuts, etc.

By right wing I don’t mean “conservative” or “libertarian” in the Americanized understanding of these terms. The Republican Party is a corporatist anti-life party. Anything that is good for their donors they support. Anything that causes death and suffering of innocent people they support. That’s why they support police, the military industrial complex, prisons, ICE, cutting healthcare, Puerto Rico relief, CHIP, oil, etc.

The reason they love guns is because their donors give them millions of dollars to shill for more guns. It is as simple as that. There could be 1,000,000 Americans killed by guns tomorrow and the Republicans won’t do anything about it. We have long ceased to exist as a functioning democracy when SCOTUS in 2008 delivered the Heller decision, giving a “right” to own a fire arm and when we allowed dozens of innocent kids to die in Sandy Hook.

The chickens you could say are coming home to roast. In the past, Americans genocided Native Americans at the barrel of a gun. In the present, the US is sending millions of guns and bullets around the world to various evil fascist regimes to persecute innocent people. “The tyranny Athens imposed on others, it finally imposed on itself.” – Chris Hedges. Now the tyranny is coming back to America.

If I had it my way, I would take all the guns in the US, melt them all down, and make a statue for peace, but I’m sure the alt-right would protest to tear it down of course. We can’t do anything about guns, but we will take away your healthcare so you die from the gun wounds. I wonder how much money it will cost to take care of the 500 survivors of Las Vegas. I’m sure the Republicans will go back to trying to repeal Obamacare and ensure all those people die. Again it is a party of death, not life.

The NRA’s bullshit propaganda runs hollow when you realize that those 22,000 people all probably had guns, and none of them “became a good guy with a gun.” This isn’t Die Hard, you cannot go around acting like Rambo shooting people you “suspect” of being the shooter. If all 22,000 people at the concert took out their guns and fired at the Mandalay hotel, we won’t be calling this a massacre, we would be calling this a genocide.

Trump isn’t just our only problem, he’s just the pure fucking evil of the Republican Party manifesting itself in it’s true form. In the same way Hitler was the manifestation of Germany’s rage for the Treaty of Versailles, the Trump voter is the finale columniation of 40 years of a slow moving coup by far right wing ideologies who have been going on a full blown propaganda brainwashing campaign, carried out by forces such as Fox News, right wing hate radio, Brietbart, and other reactionary forces.

Edit: I put 200,000 attended the Route 91 Harvest concert, it’s actually 22,000, but the point remains.

A podcast in review: Moderate Rebels

By Joseph Ballin 9/29/2017 9:44 AM ES

A new podcast I recently discovered, Moderate Rebels. The name comes from the mythical “moderate rebels” the Obama and Trump admiration have supported in Syria, which are nothing more than ISIS and other terrorist organizations. It is a podcasted created by Ben Norton and Max Blumenthal, both reporters for AlterNet’s Grayzone Project. it is a new podcast created in 2017, so you better check it out if you haven’t. The podcast is almost exclusively about foreign policy. The music in the podcast is alike NPR, but more jazzy. I agree pretty much with 99.99% of the foreign policy positions of Ben Norton and Max Blumenthal. Like example, you go on other progressive podcasts you will find almost everyone advocating for YPG/Kurds. If you listen to the Moderate Rebels, you will realize that no side in the Syrian conflict is good per say, including the Kurds, who have committed horrific genocides and ethnic cleansing of Yazidis and Arabs in order to create a Greater Kurdistan. If you are anti-imperialist you cannot in good faith be against the stability of the state of Syria.

Another thing you will notice in this podcast is no carrying water for Democrats. This is not a Democratic or Republican podcast. Moderate Rebels will attack the Democrats for their hypocritical attacks on Russia for the fake Russiagate bullshit, when in 2012 Obama told Mitt Romney that it was ridiculous to say Russia is our number one enemy. You will learn a lot from this podcast, like for example I didn’t learn that in South Korea it is pretty much a military police state over there. You can be arrested at any time for anti-war or environmental protests by claiming you are “pro-North Korean”. It is a highly patriarchal society, and yet we demonize North Korea all the time, but hold up South Korea as a “bastion of democracy” when it’s anything but.

I would give this podcast a 10/10 because I am very knowledgeable about other countries and it is very rare for a podcast to teach me new things about other countries. Check out Moderate Rebels on iTunes or their patreon. Give it 5 stars and a review.

Abolish the police, prisons, military, ICE, CIA and the FBI!

By Joseph Ballin 10:04 PM EST 9/17/2017

https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/7/78/American_Corporate_Flag.svg/900px-American_Corporate_Flag.svg.png

It is time for the Second Emancipation Proclamation. In the same way Abraham Lincoln used this executive order to free the slaves being held by the Confederate rebels, it is time for a future president to issue an executive order abolishing all prisons thought the United States. This may sound radical among Americans, but once they realize that most people are there for nonviolent drug offenses (aka racism and prison slave labor), they would be more sympathetic to the idea. America has the largest prison population on earth and yet we call ourselves the land of the free.

The police are the next government function I would abolish if I was magically president. There is no reason in 2017 to a police force. Here comes the strawman argument “BUT WON’T THERE BE ANARCHY AND CHAOS WITHOUT THE PIGS?” No, there have been anarchist societies and neighborhoods that have manged to police themselves without police. To say we should give all of our authority over to a gang of fascist pigs who can kill you at any time for any reason and get away with it isn’t working very well as illustrated by the daily police murder videos we see now.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), is another legacy of 9/11. It was created in the wake of the attacks with the Homeland Security Act of 2002. So if anyone asks you that abolishing ICE would be against the tradition of this country, just remind them it’s only existed since 2003. ICE are among the biggest scum bag pigs the US federal government. Rounding up, putting brown people in concentration camps, and deporting people is something straight out of Nazi Germany. Ever since Trump became president, these pigs, along with regular police have been on a power trip.

The US military has got to be one of the most evil organizations in world history. Not saying the people in the military are bad per say, some are legit serial killers, but most are just people trying to get education and a pay check. It’s an example of the failure of capitalism in the US to give people good paying jobs that people have to resort to being puppets of the US imperialist capitalist system of the military industrial complex. Having a standing military is historically always a bad idea. Most people don’t know the decline of the Roman Republic was caused because of their standing army with General Julius Caesar disobeying the Roman Senate and starting wars in Gaul. You give the military an inch, they take a mile.

Finally let’s get to the FBI and CIA. You cannot have a free society and a secret police force. Look at the history of the FBI, they have one of the darkest histories of any government organization domestically. FBI infiltrated and broke up radical movements to this very day because their goal is keep the capitalist system in place. FBI even threatened MLK Jr., claiming to reveal his affairs or that he was “homosexual” and he should kill himself. Now the FBI wants to white wash history about that, retweeting MLK Jr. day on twitter. Meanwhile the CIA has been behind dozens of coups and election frauds since World War II. To accuse Russia of hacking our election is hilarious if you know the history of the US rigging other nations elections.

Do you notice a common theme here? Each of these US government organizations are: right wing, authoritarian, anti-freedom, anti-democratic, and propping up the current state capitalist system in the US. Instead of pointing guns at each other, arresting and killing people here and world wide, how about we give everyone free healthcare?

Trump, son of Hitler

By Joseph Ballin 8/25/2017 7:22 AM EST

https://scontent-iad3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-0/p403x403/21032306_10155225817744652_7901494789769700701_n.jpg?oh=9c3ef44d71d63a7fcedebc496a2f0cae&oe=5A33D5CB

Fascism is the merging of corporations and religions with the state. This definition, coined by Jesse Ventura, applies directly to the current regime in the White House. The fascist Trump regime is the most fascist regime we’ve ever seen in the US since GWB. GWB, unlike Trump, could never rally the kind of white nationalist and Evangelical fascist elements that have always existed in America. Previously these groups were apolitical, but Trump is turning them into voting blocs as the GOP continues to move to far to the right that they need to get the votes of some of the most extreme elements of America.

Trump is opening up a very dangerous can of worms. After fascist GOP legislatures had introduced and voted on bills that would protect drives RUNNING OVER protesters, we are seeing ISIS style car attacks like in Charlottesville and St. Louis. White nationalists and fundamentalist Christians in the US are all domestic terrorists. Anyone who holds genocidal and murderous beliefs should not be granted the right to “free speech.” Freedom of speech has become so bastardized to the point where it has no meaning. Freedoms are always subjective. Freedom to what? Freedom for the boss to exploit you? Freedom to protest, but not freedom to overthrow a fascist government? Yes I would advocate banning hate speech in the same way other countries do.

It is time for us to accept the fact that under this regime the government is our enemy. We will not have any justice from this government as long as someone as Jeff Sessions is AG. Alot of people call Trump the next Hitler, but maybe you should start acting like it? Start housing undocumented immigrants the way people sheltered Jews during the Holocaust. Start stocking up on guns, especially if you are black or LGBT. I am not a pacifist, people and countries have a right to defend themselves from the threat of violence. We almost must understand that violence applies not just to guns and pepper spray, foreign policy and environmental violence is just as bad.

Antifa are simply acting in self defense from people who advocate genocide of them. The reason Republicans are so focused on antifa is because they know it’s not part of the corrupt Democratic party, aka a real threat to them. And I’m not just talking about just self defense, I’m talking about a TOTAL WAR on fascism thought the US. I want to cut off any support for any organization that promotes this kind of shit. Total boycott. For example, I REFUSE to watch CNN, Fox News, or MSNBC after 2016. I haven’t turned them on since. You should do the same if you want to save your brain cells.

Donald Trump, George W. Bush’s third term

By Joseph Ballin 8/9/2017 12:46 AM EST

One thing that really drives me up a wall is when people say “Trump makes me wish we had Bush as president again.” When Gore Vidal said we are the United States of Amnesia, he wasn’t fucking joke. Bush was the second worst president (second only to the current asshole) in US history and nearly destroyed the country and the world. Growing up under Bush for me was like someone growing up under Hitler or Franco, it’s a dark time in your history to remember. I simply refer to it as “The Dark Times”. In fact Trump has brought back a lot of memories that I tried to suppress from the Bush administration.

Not to mention the fact it was Bush’s stupidity that helped create Trump in the first place. If Bush was never president, we never get McCain picking Sarah Palin, and if we never got her, we never got Trump. For all the MAGA chuds out there who said Trump would be different from from Bush, where are they now? In fact Trump has become Bush’s third term. Here’s some stuff Bush and Trump both did as president:

1. Bush killed the nuclear deal Bill Clinton established with North Korea, Trump just killed the nuclear deal with Iran that was established by Obama.
2. Both bombed an Arab Baathist country in the middle east for no reason at all.
3. Both came in trying to be friendly with Putin, only to have relations deteriorate dramatically over their presidency.
4. Both expanded NATO.
5. Both ran on an anti-interventionist foreign policy during their respective elections, only to turn into full blown neocon war mongers the second they get into the white house.

Other than that, every thing else is standard stuff presidents do in terms of foreign policy, which is basically war mongering and war crimes, along with breaking international and US law. One key difference between Bush and Trump foreign policy, Bush talked alot about freedom and democracy, Trump has the foreign policy of the Golden Horde, rape and pillage.

1. Both reenacted the Mexico City policy that was previously resided by president Clinton and Obama.
2. The civil rights department of the US government has been largely rendered defunct under both GWB and Trump.
3. The Bush administration abandons ratification Kyoto Protocol, while the Trump administration leaves Paris Deal.

On LGBT issues, I would say Trump is actually WORSE for LGBT Americans than Bush. Trump may not have ran an openly anti-LGBT campaign, but if you had looked at the 2016 GOP platform, it looked like something out of Nazi Germany on LGBT rights. The following things Trump has done on LGBT rights over the last 200 days: removed any referenced to LGBT people or civil rights on white house website, rescind Obama’s guidelines on transgender students bathroom access, rescinded Obama’s federal contractors executive order covering sexual orientation and gender identity, appointed a bunch of batshit insane Christian fucktards to various government departments and courts, gender identity not covered in US census, argued sexual orientation isn’t covered under civil rights laws, banned transgender service members from the US military, and a bunch of other awful shit.

Trump hasn’t been able (thank the gods) to get a lot of bills signed into place, outside of the recent sanctions bill he signed on Iran, North Korea, and Russia. No deathcare bill passed, not tax cuts passed, no federal right to work bullshit, etc. Outside of alot of deregulation and taking healthcare away from women, he’s been a failure for the most part in terms of the oligarchic Christian fascist movement in the US. Let’s hope the next 100 days have Trump signing stupid shit like the Fred Thompson courthouse and not stuff like privatizing social security.

Why I can no longer support Tulsi Gabbard

By Joseph Ballin 7/25/2017 8:12 PM EST

https://i1.wp.com/voiceofpeopletoday.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/US-sanctions-bill-against-Iran-Russia-North-Korea.jpg?fit=2000%2C1124&ssl=1

As many of my readers know, I’ve been a staunch defender of Tulsi Gabbard in the past. I defended her from endless attacks from neocons attacking her for visiting Syria to try to bring peace to there. No politician is perfect of course, not even Tulsi or Bernie prior to this vote. However I am staunchly principled in my ideological beliefs. I will not carry water, There are a few issues that I view as unforgivable and pushing war with Iran, Russia, and North Korea. And Tulsi did the unforgivable. She voted for H.R. 3364: Countering America’s Adversaries Through Sanctions Act. She was not the only person to vote for it, every Democrat and every Republican, minus three, voted for the bill. 419-3 Funny how we always hear that bipartisanship in Congress is dead, but bills that matter like this pass with by veto proof votes. A similar bill to this (excluding North Korea sanctions) passed the US Senate, with only Bernie Sanders and Rand Paul voting against it.

When Trump signs this bill into law this week, and he will because it is veto proof, we could be looking at the unraveling of the world order the likes of which. It brings heavy sanctions on Iran, basically killing the Iran deal. Russia is getting hit hard, and so will the EU because they rely on Russian oil. North Korea is already sanctioned into oblivion, but this will hurt the peace talks South Korea is doing with North Korea. Sanctions are an act of war, that is a fact. The oil embargo FDR enacted on the Japanese over the invasion of French Indochina lead directly to Pearl Harbor.

The fact the DemoRAT Party voted in full support, without a single Democrat voting against it, shows their #resistance to Trump is nothing more than a show. After all they had approved his cabinet members. The Republicans and Democrats of the Congress are not opposing Trump, if they really opposed Trump they would have arrested him under charges of war crimes, corruption, the emolument clause, etc. Trump is simply the American empire taking the mask off, that’s why the so called “deep state” “hates” Trump. I expect the #resistance will soon make Jeff Sessions their new champion because Trump will probably fire him for not covering up his crimes well enough. Yet Democrats will ignore all of the awful stuff Sessions did as AG, from police to cannabis policies.

Readers note: I would still vote for Gabbard over MOST Democratic candidates in a presidential primary, but I don’t know if I could vote for her in the general after this vote.

A podcast in review: The Jimmy Dore Show

By Joseph Ballin 7/20/2017 4:50 PM EST

https://yt3.ggpht.com/-Oro4Mugspec/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAAA/OX4cAjep0Ks/s900-c-k-no-mo-rj-c0xffffff/photo.jpg

This is a new segment I’m gonna be working on for a bit. I’m gonna review ALL of the podcasts I’m currently listening to. And I’m gonna start with The Jimmy Dore Show.

The Jimmy Dore Show podcast

The Jimmy Dore Show is a podcast started and hosted by political comedian and commentator Jimmy Dore. The podcast was created in 2009 and has exploded in listeners since the creation of this podcast. The show is a blend of comedy, news, and interviews. The podcast lasts one hour and comes out every week on Friday. Jimmy hosts the show with co-hosts Ron Placone and the miserable liberal Stefane Zamorano.

As opposed to many podcasts, The Jimmy Dore Show covers topics that no other podcast will cover. For example, Jimmy interviewed war journalist Eva Bartlett, who has BEEN to Syria and has covered exclusively what’s really going on in Syria, the propaganda being spewed by US imperialists, the al-Qaeda white helmets, etc. Jimmy isn’t exclusively anti-Trump/anti-Republican. While, Jimmy will attack them when it’s appropriate, he will not focus all his time on them, because he says the world is already bashing Trump and the Republicans.

Jimmy tends to focus on attacking the Democratic party and the mainstream media. Jimmy openly states that both parties are shit and we need to create a third party that will take on the Democratic and Republican parties. So a lot of people criticize him because he only focuses on the Democratic Party. People complain that he’s still talking about Hillary. First of all, if you don’t like his podcast you can always not listen. Secondly, Hillary is still running the Democratic Party. She still has massive influence. For example, she started a super pac this year and Obama picked a Clinton friendly DNC chairman.

Jimmy has made a lot of enemies because of his critic of the mainstream Democratic party establishment. He’s gotten into two debates with Sam Seder of the Majority Report over the issue of voting for Hillary Clinton in 2016. In 2017, the Washington Post, owned by billionaire Jeff Bezos and has hundred of millions of dollars in contracts with the CIA, has smeared him as a “conspiracy theorist”, a term created by the CIA.

The Jimmy Dore Show premium podcast

Also if you want more of the Jimmy Dore show, he’s got a premium podcast as well, which you have to pay for and you can get on The Jimmy Dore Show app. Sometimes these premium episodes are less about politics and more about behind the scenes from his comedy career. Sometimes it will cover politics, but mostly you learn stuff about Jimmy that you won’t learn in the regular podcast. For example, I didn’t know Jimmy Dore was an atheist and formally a fan of Sam Harris, but later turned against Sam Harris for his hawkish foreign policy.

Overall rating

I would give the Jimmy Dore podcast a 9.5/10. It isn’t corporate media, it tells you stuff no other podcasts covers, it has comedy and serious news segments, and doesn’t censor opinion. Some will complain he doesn’t take calls, but I’m glad I don’t have to listen to Jimmy take calls about building state banks as the most important issue facing the country. I highly recommend The Jimmy Dore Podcast.

The Sam Seder Tim Black debate, or the Sam talks over Tim while Michael Brooks makes snarky commentary.

https://i.ytimg.com/vi/iyXhdzgGOSc/maxresdefault.jpg

By Joseph Ballin 6/29/2017 5:37 PM EST

Reader’s note: I am a fan of both Sam Seder’s The Majority Report and The Tim Black Show. I do not hold any hostilities towards either person debating in this piece and am writing this to illustrate how we on the left can find better solutions to our problems. That being said I’m biased toward Tim in this debate.

What’s the difference between a liberal and a progressive? Personally I don’t care or like these labels. Hillary described herself as a “progressive who can get stuff done.” So I couldn’t care less about those labels, but Tim goes into what I think he meant is between neoliberal corporate shills and people who want change in this country. Yes Sam is correct that the Majority Report does talk about all of the issues that Tim Black listed. So Sam goes to Tim’s youtube page and criticizes him for not covering healthcare enough. However, Sam has not watched Tim’s show and doesn’t know that he’s covered healthcare numerous times on his show. And now Sam goes into the Seth Rich / Kimdotcom territory.

The one thing me and Jimmy Dore have both been very clear on, we want evidence. We want evidence of Russiagate, evidence Assad gassed his own people, evidence for or against the Seth Rich cover up, etc. That’s reality based thinking. That’s why I’m an agnostic atheist, because I can’t prove there isn’t a god/gods, but there is no evidence that they do exist so there is no reason for me to believe in them. In fact, nothing in the universe can be proven. A fact is a statement that is taken to be true based off of evidence. It is something we collectively as a society agree what is real and fake. A theory is a plausible or scientifically acceptable general principle or body of principles offered to explain phenomena.

Ok now that we got that out of the way let’s deconstruct all this shit. There is no verifiable evidence Russia hacked, interfered, or colluded with Donald Trump or his campaign. In fact, as president, US relations with Russia under Trump are at a record low. Trump has repeatedly attacked the government of Bashar Al-Assad and Iranian militias several times, Russia’s allies. Trump signed a treaty expanding NATO to Montenegro, something Russia opposes. He signed the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2017, which authorized $100 million dollars for the “Countering Russian Influence Fund”, to counter “Russian influence and aggression” and to “support civil society organizations in Europe and Eurasia.” It also included a measure imposing new restrictions and oversight on Russian diplomats in the United State. On top of all that, US has imposes more sanctions on Russia during Trump’ presidency. If Trump’s a Russian puppet, he’s doing a really shitty at it.

Again this is not to say there isn’t business ties Trump has to Russia, like with Deutsche bank and Trump hotels because he’s a billionaire, but he also has business ties to Saudi Arabia, Israel, Turkey, Philippines, Azerbaijan, mafia, etc., but the mainstream media never mentions this. Why does mainstream media never bring up the fact General Flynn was a paid agent of the Turkish government? Why does the mainstream media not bring up the fact Trump appointed all these Goldman Sachs people because of his ties to Israel? Or China provisionally granting Trump 38 trademarks after getting elected? Or the Clinton’s business dealings in Russia? So there is enormous hypocrisy on this issue. Focus on Russia and nothing else. Why you may ask? Because starting a new cold war with Russia ensures defense contractors can make giant profit because now we have a great power enemy again. Also we can’t start a cold war with China because our economies are to tied together. It has less to do with Trump himself and more to do with more spending on the military and strengthening the police state. That’s why you don’t hear anything about getting rid of voting machines or having open, fair, and free elections.

As for the Syria gassing of 2017, the entire thing was brought up so briefly and forgotten about so quick by mainstream media and the Trump administration it really makes you wonder what really did happen in Syria. Why has there been no independent UN investigation into the gassing? There is no evidence Assad ordered the gassing of any civilians. As for the Seth Rich story, I stated on day one when I first heard about the Seth Rich murder that I found it very fishy. I have no idea is Seth Rich was the Wikileaks leaker or who killed him, but I do know a couple things. I do know Assange has hinted, but not confirmed, to Seth Rich being the leaker. Wikileaks, outside of the Garani Massacre Video which they said they would publish, but never did, has been 100% on point. So now that we got all that out of the way, back to the debate.

So Sam now brings up whether or not it’s a good thing to promote the Russia fear mongering story to split off three Republican votes in the Senate for healthcare. First of all I won’t advocate a new cold war with Russia over healthcare. Second of all why does Sam think Russia influences how Republican senators vote on healthcare. We’ve already seen the Senate healthcare bill be delayed because of how awful it is. People aren’t thinking about Russia when they think of healthcare, they are thinking of NOT DYING! Plus I would wager all that corporate cash the Republicans senators take is more of an influence than the so called Russia scandal over Trump’s head. The only thing that will force Republicans to change their votes on healthcare is though mass movements.

Now Black brings up the rigged 2016 Democratic primary and the DNC fraud lawsuit. Tim brings up exit polling being used by the US to determine whether an election is legit or bs in foreign countries. I would like to point out that irregularities in exit polling in Ukraine were cited by the US and EU for the fascist coup in Ukraine. And I would also like to point out Sam Seder has had on Greg Palast on Ring of Fire, someone who says the 2016 Democratic primary was rigged. But ok Sam I guess the primary wasn’t “rigged.”

Continuing on Tim brings why Democrats blaming progressives for the lose of Hillary Clinton. So Tim brings up Susan Sarandon and her revolution comment about Trump, stating we are seeing a revolution already taking place under Trump. Ok so I agree and disagree with Tim here. A revolution against Donald Trump hasn’t sustained itself, yet. It needs to be sustained though mass rallies every week and civil disobedience in the streets. And I believe a revolution under Trump can happen if he topples Assad and invades Iran

Michael continues to break into this heated debate to make a funny comment. Now we get back to Seth Rich. So Sam again thinks that it’s crazy to think that politicians won’t murder people to cover up corruption. I agree Tim Black that we need to ask questions. Again I’m an agnostic on Seth Rich, I don’t know who killed Seth Rich.

One of the most damming quotes from the Sam Seder vs Tim Black debate comes right around here. “She (Nancy Pelosi) is a great leader. I would not support a challenge to her” – Sam Seder. Ok so let’s give Sam the benefit of the doubt and say Pelosi wasn’t guilty for the thousands of losses of Democrats in elections over the past decade or so. So why is it Sam doesn’t bring up the fact Pelosi didn’t do shit to bring about real progressive change during her time as speaker from 2007 to 2011? She opposes single payer, she didn’t prosecute GWB, and she didn’t bring up the Employee Free Choice Act.

And finally Sam says Steny Hoyer would be worse than Pelosi. So Sam why not get rid of Hoyer? And if he’s replaced with another corporate Dem get rid of them until we get someone who will at least listen to progressives. That’s what the Republicans did with Eric Cantor and their party is stronger than ever. Tim brings up the fact Sam voted for Hillary Clinton in New York, a blue non-swing state, but he doesn’t blame Hillary for not appointing Bernie Sanders as her VP pick, which everyone agrees would have won her the election. You know why she didn’t do it? Because of spite and corporate greed. She would rather lose to a Republican than give an inch to progressives, and that’s why we have Trump.

Dennis Rodman is trying to save the planet

The one thing I can’t stand about liberals is how whenever North Korea is brought up their brains turn off. I cannot understand why. It reminds me alot of Saddam. Alot of liberals said they opposes the Iraq War cause Saddam didn’t have WMDs. So my question is, would you support the Iraq War if Saddam did have WMDs? So the hypocrisy from liberals on this issue is overwhelming. The reason I’m picking on liberals is because we expect better. I don’t expect anything good from Trump. Trump is a neanderthal who’s taking back to the 1950s, like announcing today to bring back the cold war on Cuba.

Anyway back to North Korea. Dennis Rodman, sponsored by Hempcoin, has landed in Pyongyang. Now this makes good late show comedy, but in a time when all out nuclear war could start at any second, we should be praising Rodman for doing this. Regardless of what you even think of North Korea or Kim Jong Un, we shouldn’t be pushing for more belligerency with them. Imagine if China had it’s navy do military drills right off our coast, meanwhile have thousands of troops in Canada. The US would fucking freak the fuck up and nuke the planet if that happened.

Back to liberals for one second. So whenever North Korea is brought up people always say “well North Korea is insane and not a rational actor, so we have to take them out.” My response is North Korea is a rational actor. Having nukes to protect their country from regime change is a rational action for the leadership of North Korea. They saw what happened in Libya, Iraq, and Syria for regimes without nuclear weapons. Nor would North Korea ever use those nuclear weapons in an offense manner, it would lead to the death of pretty much every living person in North Korea as a whole. Where is the rationality in that?

Dennis Rodman is going to North Korea, not because he’s this secretly working for the US government to help release Otto Warmbier. I think Rodman generally has a friendship with Kim Jong Un, despite the national differences between the two. And I think Kim Jong Un feels the same. That and I think Rodman is going over there to smug back a shit ton of weed from North Korea back to the US.
